Dither
In the workshop1-bit & Game Boy pixel art
Store name: “Dither: Retro Photo Filter”
What it is
A retro photo tool that rebuilds any picture out of a handful of hard inks, the look of an old Mac, a Game Boy screen, or a CGA monitor. Pick a photo, choose a dithering algorithm and a palette, and watch the image re-render into chunky pixels in real time.
Why we built it
Most retro photo apps fake the look with a smooth filter tint. This one runs genuine dithering pixel by pixel, the way those old screens actually built an image, and pairs it with true limited palettes and adjustable pixel size. It fills the gap for people who want the real 1-bit and Game Boy aesthetic rather than an Instagram-style approximation.

Every app on the shelf started as one honest problem, scoped small and built native, end to end. That’s exactly how we approach client work — designed, built and shipped, without the bloat.
